KONTEXTIL – Encyclopaedia of female handicrafts
Between contemporary embroidery, textile sculptures, political crochet and supple body extensions, Claudia A. Cruz, Rahel Jüngling, Malen Rodriguez Pajaro, Johanna Rafalski, Kira Häring and Emilia Sting take a critical look at textile techniques, expand on classic handwork and utilise them in the context of their artistic works. The focus is on time, the tactile connection to the material and repetitive movements.
